Collecting Personal Information

We collect your personal information so that we can carry out our usual business activities related to the development and commercialisation of Secoura’s proprietary software. The personal information we collect from you is your business contact information including your name, job title, employer name,

Work email address and work telephone number.We may collect personal information from you when you:

  • register for, or use, our products and services;
  • e-mail us;
  • create an account with us;
  • participate in an online promotion;
  • provide us with feedback;
  • ask us to contact you after visiting our web site;
  • register for an event;
  • register to receive informational content about our products and services;
  • during the sale and provision of our products or services;
  • meeting in person at an industry or other event

We may also indirectly collect your personal information from third parties we partner with, such as marketing agencies or other referral businesses.

If you register on our website to receive our restricted materials, we may ask you questions about your business.

For example, if you wish to register for a Secoura seminar or event, without your personal information, Secoura will not be able to register your attendance at the seminar or event.

Storage of Personal Information

Secoura primarily stores your personal information electronically but may also hold on to some details in hardcopy for administration purposes. We use third party storage solutions (including cloud storage), and these solutions can result in information originally provided separately being combined together in single records. Some of the third-parties are located in Australia and some in the United States

Use of Personal Information

Our use or processing of your personal information may be on the basis ofyour consent or on the basis that the use or processing is necessary for Secoura’s legitimate business interests, depending on our relationship with you.

Generally, we will collect personal information directly from you that is necessary for Secoura’s legitimate business interests. These legitimate interests may be any or all of the following, depending on our relationship with you to undertake or manage our business relationship with your employer as a potential customer, customer, supplier or business partner;

  • to comply with a legal action or law enforcement directive, or to protect Secoura’s legal rights and/or property;
  • analysing product usage from application telemetry data; and
  • internal purposes such as accounting, planning record keeping and reporting

If you have opted in to receiving marketing communications from us, our processing of your personal information for marketing purposes is based on that consent. Alternatively, your consent may be inferred when that is a lawful basis for our use of your personal information for marketing communications

Disclosure to and Processing

Secoura does not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent other than in the following circumstances to those we contract directly to provide services to us, including the provision of a Customer Relationship Management solution, a business contact database and, on occasion, a lead generation service provider;

  • to those we contract directly to provide payroll services to us (employees only);
  • if legal action or a law enforcement directive requires that we must do so; or
  • it is deemed necessary by us to protect Huntsman Security’s legal rights and/or property

Your personal information may be transferred to an international recipient such as our CRM solution provider using servers in the United States

Statistical Information and Cookies

We collect statistical information about visits to our website via log files and services such as Google Analytics and Matomo, which track pages visited, geography and browsers used. We also leave a cookie on your computer so that, when you return to our website, you do not need to re-enter your information to download resources available through our website.

Whilst these efforts are made, factors beyond our control could result in unauthorised access to ordisclosure of data

Storage Duration

When your personal information is no longer needed for the purposes identified above, we will take steps to destroy or permanently de‐identify your personal information. However, some personal information may be stored in documents that we are required to keep by law for the minimum periods imposed by law

Loss of Personal Information

Despite our every effort to protect your personal information, there remains the possibility that a breach of our security could occur. In the event of loss of personal information Secoura will:

Seek to rapidly identify and secure the breach to prevent any furtherbreaches

  • Engage the appropriate authorities where criminal activity is suspected
  • Assess the nature and severity of the breach including the type of personal information involved and the risk of harm to affected individuals
  • Notify the affected individuals directly if appropriate and where possible
  • If appropriate, put a notice on our website advising our customers ofthe breach
  • Notify the Privacy Commissioner (at the OAIC) if the breach is significant
